PLANNING COMMISSION

PUBLIC HEARING

 

Pursuant to Va. Code § 15.2-2204, notice is hereby given that the Buena Vista Planning Commission will hold two public hearing on Tuesday April 10th at 7:00 PM or shortly thereafter to receive public comment on the following:

PUBLIC HEARING #1). The Office of Planning and Zoning is requesting a rezoning of all or parts of 750 N Linden Ave and 302 Piedmont Ave. (Shenandoah Hardwood Lumber) (LM to GM), 756 N Linden Ave (LM to R-3), 776 N Linden Ave (C-1 to R-3), 777 N Sycamore Ave (C-1 to R-3), 115 W 6th St. (C-1 to R-3) , and Daryl Limited is requesting a rezoning of 408 W 10th St (46-1-1- -1A), (LM to GM)

PUBLIC HEARING #2) A conditional use permit is sought by Daryl Limited for an indoor Storage Facility to be located at 408 W 10th St (46-1-1- -1A), for Spirit Services. Spirit Services serves central Virginia for used oil, oily water and antifreeze from car dealerships, lube centers and small garages. The material is transported to a location and tested to meet local and EPA guidelines for non hazardous materials. The material is unloaded into holding tanks and then transported to their Williamsport, Md facilities.

The Public Hearings will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 N Sycamore Ave

A copy of the request is on file in the Office of Planning and Zoning, 2039 N Sycamore Ave (Municipal Building), 3rd floor and is available for review from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

CITY OF BUENA VISTA

CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING

 

Pursuant to Va. Code 15.2-2204, notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista, Virginia will hold a joint public hearing with the Planning Commission and two City Council public hearings on Thursday May 3rd, 2011 at 6:00 or shortly thereafter to receive public comment on the following:

Joint Public Hearing 1) The Office of Planning and Zoning is requesting the rezoning of Tax Map number (61-1- – -1 and 50-A- – -2 & 2A) be changed from Light Manufacturing District (LM) to Residential District (R-2) for the purpose of eliminating the non-conforming lots. 61-1– – -1 is currently owned by Robert C and Dawn S Dickinson, 50-A- – -2 & 2A is currently owned by Mr. & Mrs. Russell S. Joynes. These lots contain 7 residential dwellings
