Buena Vista, Virginia

 

 

 

The City of Buena Vista provides a number of parks for its residents and visitors, as well as a multitude of recreational activities throughout the year.

 

The largest park is Glen Maury Park, consisting of 315 acres of scenic, level and rolling land, and other amenities, including an 18-hole golf course The Vista Links (click for more information). Other amenities include a 52-site campground, group camping area (250 units), Olympic-size pool, wading pool, tennis, playgrounds, picnic shelters, roller skating rink, trails, river fishing, and ball fields. The park is owned and operated by the City of Buena Vista.

 

Also available are additional recreational opportunities sponsored by civic and social organizations, schools, churches, 4-H Club and community groups . Buena Vista is surrounded by portions of the Jefferson and George Washington National Forests which offer numerous outdoor recreational opportunities.
