Water: The City of Buena Vista has a municipally-owned water system supplied by wells in the City. The average daily use is 900,000 gallons per day. The maximum daily capacity is 2.9 million gallons per day and the city has a 1.7 million gallon storage capacity.

 

Sewer: The sewage treatment plant is municipally-owned. The average daily use is 900,000 gallons per day. The maximum daily capacity is 2-million gallons per day, secondary treatment.

 

Electricity: Supplied and distributed by Dominion Virginia Power.

 

Natural Gas: Supplied and distributed by Columbia Gas of Virginia.

 

Solid Waste Disposal: Buena Vista is a partner in the Rockbridge County landfill operations which accepts domestic and limited industrial waste.
