Bus tours of the City of Buena Vista, those invited were:

  • Public Works Director, Melvin Henson

  • Planning and Zoning, Robert Luke

  • Building Inspections, Fred Fix

  • Code Enforcement Officer, Larry Coffey

Purpose of tour is to enlighten the Planning Commission members to some of the issues that arise on a daily basis around the city. This will help in forming a basis for the upcoming Comprehensive Plan rewrite and also help formulate policy in the cities land use regulations.

Some of the issues will be:

  • Curb and Gutter-drainage

  • Sidewalk situations

  • Housing issues

  • Street conditions and situations

  • Site distances at intersections

  • Parking situations

  • Etc.

 There will be no decisions made on this tour. It is a fact finding mission for the Planning Commission and the invited guests.
